AC4D is an aluminium alloy of the Al-Si-Cu-Mg system from the AC series (JIS H 5202).

Characteristics

Retains strength at high temperature
Resists thermal fatigue from repeated heating and cooling

Typical Applications

Gasoline and diesel engine pistons
High thermal load cylinder heads
Compressor components
